QUADRANGLE, THE An imposing open space bounded on three side by the main Greyfriars’ buildings. In one corner sits the Tuck Shop, originally the Abbott’s House. On one side, under the Sixth form studies lies the Sixth Form Green; with the Masters’ studies in the opposite wing. An arch in the centre leads through into the Close.

QUELCH, CORA Mr Quelch’s niece, and possibly Roger Quelch’s sister, she visits her uncle at Greyfriars on two occasions. On the first occasion Bunter manages to save her from a bull, and consequently falls in love, reforming at least until she finishes her visit. [M 364] On the second visit, Bunter manages to save her from drowning by dragging her out of the Sark; and again her attraction causes him to reform his behaviour temporarily.
